Welcome to Caring Neighborhood Ministries

CNM is a ministry founded in 2002 to provide for the care and support of orphans and the elderly, as well of the expansion of evangelism, church planting, and the training of church leaders in Nagaland, India. The ministry first started with an orphanage which is committed to teaching its children about Christ's love, with the goal of seeing them embrace "the saving grace of God." The children’s physical, spiritual, emotional, educational, and social needs are cared for in a Christ-centered, loving environment which seeks to operate like a family who works, plays, and worships together. In addition to its dedication to leadership training and church planting, CNM also ministers to the elderly with a care center, and shelter for the homeless.

A few words from Pastor Jamir, Founder of CNM.

When I began this Orphanage Ministries in 2002 [Caring Neighborhood Ministries], I know that I was deeply convicted to begin a ministry to the helpless, poor people- orphans & destitute…and to care for the elderly people. Evidently, I resolved within myself prayerfully to start these ministries yet with much fear and confusion at the beginning of this ministry. I was not sure what to do, and how to do it. I had no one idea and have no one in a position to support the ministry. I had no money, no strength/no experience, etc on my part.

Then the LORD reminded me of this Scripture mentioned below;

  “…Solomon sent back this message to Hiram: ‘You know that because of the wars waged against my father David from all sides, he could not built a temple for the Name of the LORD his God until the LORD put his enemies under his feet. But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or disaster. I intend, therefore, to build a temple for the Name of the LORD my God, as the LORD told my father David, when he said, ‘Your son whom I will put on the throne in your place will build the temple for my Name’….” 1 Kings. 5:1-5

 Saying that CNM is God’s ministry entrusted upon me. Although I am nobody in compare myself to God’s chosen king of Israel- Solomon, yet the LORD taught me lesson from this Scripture to totally trust upon Him in regard to the ministry support. I have no right to have concern/worry about anything else, except to keep focus on the vision and keep it going, because it a privilege for me given by God.”
